At ESALQ (Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, University of S?o Paulo, Piracicaba, S?o Paulo, Brazil), we are committed to tackling SDG 1¡ªeradicating poverty¡ªthrough education, research, and extension initiatives. This is a long-standing issue in Brazil, characterized by social inequality and deeply rooted in historical contexts. It has the potential to be exacerbated by climate and socio economic crises, making it an urgent topic.
Our efforts align with other well-developed SDGs here, such as SDGs 2, 12, and 15, while also supporting SDGs 5 and 18. SDG 18, a national goal, addresses ethnic inequality and racism, crucial challenges in our society. Together, let¡¯s work for a fairer and sustainable future.
